Welcome to the Down Syndrome Association of South Texas
Our mission is to provide services and support for children and adults with Down syndrome and their families in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.
Through partnerships with other agencies, medical professionals, educators, and parents, the DSASTX gathers and shares resources and information for those with Down syndrome and their families.
The DSASTX provides opportunities for families to foster friendships and offer mutual support through Parent Support Group meetings, community-based social activities, special events, and educational programs.
The ultimate goal is to promote awareness and inclusion in the community.
Parent to Parent Mentor Training Class is Saturday, May 11 from 9 - 10:30 a.m. at the DSASTX Office (upstairs). If you have a child with Down syndrome age 5 and under and would like to share your experiences with a new family, contact Kerin Croft at 210-349-4372 or kcroft@dsastx.org for information.
The Annual DSASTX Picnic is May 19 from 1 - 6 p.m. at Landa Park in New Braunfels at pavilions #4, 5, and 6. Come enjoy some springtime fun with your DSA family! Lunch is provided from 1 - 4 p.m. Don't forget your swimsuits, towels, water shoes, and sunscreen for a great time in the Comal River! Please RSVP no later than May 10 to 210-349-4372 or kcroft@dsastx.org.
