Adult Matters! is a program specifically designed for
adults
with Down syndrome (ages 18 and older).
Social Gatherings: Monthly gatherings for adults with DS to socialize with each other in a group of their peers on a regular basis in a safe environment (supervised by parents at a 1 to 4 ratio). We encourage them to invite an age-appropriate peer (another adult with special needs) to participate with them.
Family & Friends Potluck: An event open to adults and teens with DS and their parents. Held in January, March, May, July, September, November. Guest speakers will offer helpful and relevant information to parents concerning the issues our adults and teens with DS face in the course of their lives. Activities for the adult and teen with DS will be offered in another room.

Family & Friends Potluck - 2009 Events Planning 6:30 - 8 p.m., Episcopal Church of Reconciliation, 8900 Starcrest (just outside NE Loop 410). Bring your favorite snack food to share - drinks are provided. We will be putting together ideas for next year's calendar of events, so if you want your voice heard, now is the time to come! Clay Casa 3 - 4:30 p.m., 502 Embassy Oaks #107 (near Bitters and Hwy. 281). We will be painting a piece of pottery to give as a gift or keep for yourself. Wear old clothes - you might get paint on them! Parents/guardians can hang out at one of the nearby restaurants and visit while we paint.

DSA Christmas Party The Blue Bubble Ballroom, 9315 Broadway (just outside Loop 410). 6 - 8 p.m. A BBQ meal will be served with hot dogs for the kids. Santa will be there to hear what's on your holiday wish list. Wear your dancin' shoes, as our incredible DJ will provide musical entertainment. We will be accepting unwrapped new toy donations at the door that will be presented to less fortunate children in our community.
