Polly Wyckoff

Treasurer

Hi!  My name is Polly Wyckoff, and I am currently the DSA Treasurer. I am a CPA and have been married to my husband, Todd, for 14 years. We were blessed with our daughter, Dusti, 12 years ago (6/14/94) and our son, Cory, 9 years ago (6/6/97). We found out shortly after his birth that Cory had Down syndrome. Our life took a dramatic change, but luckily we were quickly put in touch with other families with Down syndrome children when Cory was only two weeks old.

Cory was born with both the AV & DV canal heart defect. We were able to wait until he was 3 years old to have the corrective surgery, and our hospital stay was only 5 days.   We had plenty of surgeries, hospital visits for RSV, etc. the first few years of his life, but since then he has remained relatively healthy. Our biggest medical challenge the last few years has been his rare eye muscle condition.

Cory attends his home school in an inclusive environment, and loves going to school and being with his friends. His real love is sports, especially basketball and baseball. This year, he is playing Upwards Basketball, Kinetic Kids Baseball, and Challenger League Baseball.

We feel truly blessed to have Cory in our lives, along with all of the friends we have made through the Down Syndrome Association. God had a plan when he gave us Cory, and we truly thank Him for his wonderful gift.
