Our Parent Support Group meetings are designed for parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends of individuals with Down syndrome where insightful information is presented by a guest speaker followed by an opportunity for everyone to share their experiences and concerns.
We have meetings at three locations: North San Antonio, South San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Boerne. For more information, please contact the DSASA office at 210.349.4372 or downsynassc@dsasa.org.
Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Coker United Methodist Church, 231 North Loop Rd.

PALS is a program from Brighton Center that is dedicated to empowering parents and professionals with knowledge of special education law. Through the DSASA, you will attend 3 PALS sessions where each participant learns how to communicate effectively, understands the state and federal laws governing special education, and learns to navigate the most appropriate education for your child. You will also be able to attend 2 ARD clinics which offer information to parents in a group setting. Learning about one specific topic, this will assist parents with any questions regarding a specific diagnosis or disability. After attending all 5 sessions you will receive 1 and a half years of free ARD support from Brighton.
