Nancy is mother of Austin Davenport; both are formerly from San Antonio. Austin has Down syndrome and recently married Christi Hockel. Nancy wrote her book, Donovan and the Big Hole, to allow readers to see life from the point of view of a person with Down syndrome. It’s a fun Texas adventure with mystery, history, and intrigue. The character, Donovan, tells the story in first person and is modeled after Austin. Nancy hopes that when children read this book they will be inspired to want to have a friend like Donovan because he is a thoroughly good friend to have.
